About Me...

I am a parable teller who inspires leaders to reflect on themselves to assess their own leadership abilities. I am a developer of a leadership program for improving and inspiring positive performance change. I am a 35-year veteran with a Fortune 30 company with a proven track record of developing leaders through exceptional facilitation skills. I'm a developer of video animation that is designed to reinforce the learning objectives post-training to make the learning sticky.

This Leadership Development Series is a collection of high-impact leadership courses for all leaders within your organization. These courses introduce the foundational competencies necessary for the success of today's leaders.

Building Better Team 3. 5–4 Hours
This course provides leaders with the tools and resources they need to build high performing teams that can achieve exceptional results.

Course Objectives:
  • Explore a working definition of “team”
  • Define the six characteristics of high performing teams
  • Identify the different types of teams that may exist within the workplace
  • Introduce tools for evaluating the performance of your teams


Building Leadership Credibility 3. 5–4 Hours
This course provides Leaders with the tools and resources they need to build credibility in their role as a manager by focusing on both what they accomplish and how they accomplish it.
Course Objectives:
  • Explore the benefits of having a trust within your work team
  • Define the 3 Cs of Leadership Credibility
  • Identify ways in which to build credibility in your relationships and communications

 




Coaching For High Performance5.5 - 6 Hours
This course provides management with the tools and resources to have productive coaching and feedback conversations.  Both skills are crucial for any leader.  Leaders need to coach individuals in their performance and provide feedback to either reinforce or redirect their performance.

Course Objectives:
  • Identify the behaviors of successful coaches
  • Define coaching and the benefits of coaching
  • Determine the approach for coaching based on the need
  • Apply the GROW model for coaching
  • Identify the challenges related to successful coaching
  • Identify the appropriate times to coach and when not to coach
  • Define feedback
  • apply the SHARE model for providing feedback
  • Avoid using labels and pinpoint behaviors in order to praise and develop
  • Recognize and manage the normal, healthy responses to feedback

This course provides Leaders with various activities to create emotional connections with employees.Course Objectives:
  • Define what “emotional connection” means and how it impacts employees and customers

  • Understand the long-term benefits of creating emotional connections with others

Difficult Conversation
3. 5-4 Hours

This course provides Leaders with the tools and resources they need to prepare for and conduct challenging conversations with employees, peers, managers and customers. Course Objectives:
  • Learn to lead productive dialogues on sensitive topics with employees, peers, and leaders
  • Plan a difficult conversation using a conversation planning worksheet
  • Explore how to handle the common reactions people have when on the receiving end of a difficult conversation


Employee Engagement

This course provides Leaders with the tools and resources needed to better engage your Employees. Course Objectives:
  • Understand the emotional drivers of Employee Engagement
  • Identify the different levels and various sources of engagement

Keeping On Point3.5 - 4 Hours
This course provides Leaders with the tools and resources they need to better manage their time and priorities. Course Objectives:
  • Optimize your productivity each day
  • Use planning tools to keep you on point
  • Identify what is “mission critical” in your job
  • Prioritize your activities and “work above the line”
  • Get things done by managing interruptions and delegating effectively

Resolving Conflict3.5-4 Hours
This course provides leaders with the tools and resources they need to start the process of resolving conflict. Course Objectives:
  • Define conflict and the importance of resolving conflict
  • Identify the different types of conflict
  • Identify the conflict-handling modes and when to use them
  • Create a plan for resolving conflicts in your workplace

The Art of Communication
3.5-4 Hours

This course is designed to help Leaders improve in the art of communication, which includes understanding why we communicate, how we communicate with one another, and most importantly, how we listen to one another.Course Objectives:
  • Explore the intended outcomes of purposeful, focused communications
  • Understand the uses for tell-directed vs. ask-directed communication
  • Identify the barriers to effective listening
  • Learn and apply the Reflective Listening model

At this stage, it’s important for leaders to discover the power in their voice. This course will explore the core principles of effective leadership communication. The ability to communicate authentically and powerfully is a crucial leadership competence. One of the key tools leaders uses to communicate is the use of stories. We will examine some of the most common types of stories leaders need to be familiar with.

This course is designed to provide associates with the tools and resources necessary in seƫng them up for success by culƟvaƟng a successful culture of customer service in their workplace or organization.
